- Storage:
- Always keep your gemstone and pearl jewelry away from heat & sunlight to ensure that they still remain their brilliance and vivacity.
- Keep pearl jewelry separated from hard jewelry to prevent it to be scratched.
- Store silver/gold jewelry in sealed bags will slow down the process of oxidation.
- Cleaning:
- Occasionally polishing of gold and silver using specially formulated microabrasive polishing cloth will ensure they keep their shine. Make use of non-abrasive polishing cloth for porcelain, closoinne and vermeil jewelry as they tend to be soft and delicate.
- Clean gems and pearls in warm mild soap (no detergent) water, and a soft brush. Remember to stop any sink's drain in case the gem come loose from its setting.
- Chemicals in cosmetics, hair spray, perfume, lotion, etc are harmful to jewelry. So, put on your jewelry last, after you've fully dressed-up and ready to go.
